A gun battle that broke out at a border crossing between the US and Mexico has wounded four people, forcing US authorities to shut down the busy passageway. According to AP, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) spokeswoman Angelica DeCima explained the incident occurred on Wednesday when drivers of three vans tried to force their way through the San Ysidro crossing past American inspectors.
She added over 70 people onboard the vans were taken into federal custody.
She also said that three of the injured were in the vans, and the fourth was in another vehicle, without elaborating on the extent of their wounds.
