At least 29 children have died and dozens more injured after an overwhelming fire at a car depot razed a nearby day-care center in north Mexico. According to Press TV, the late Friday inferno has reportedly been initiated at a vehicles storehouse where a large number of stocked tires caught fire and immediately spread around the ABC day-care center in the northern Mexican city of Hermosillo.
Over 100 preschoolers were at the center at the time and most of the deaths were caused by asphyxiation.
The children were mostly under the age of six.
Parents and the city's fire department members dug holes into the building walls in a desperate move to save their loved ones.
