The World Should take notice of the Ban on Shia community to perform their religious rites , and they should learn lesson from the Countries like Iran and Lebanon where religious freedom is even for Non Muslims , while Malaysia who poses as liberal country , are extremist who Just want to enforce their own sect on all , and doesn't give liberty to practice , the religion and sect of their choice.

KUANTAN (Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - After banning Shia teachings here several years ago, Pahang will now gazette a fatwa (edict) in the state to help curb its spread which allegedly could confuse the Muslims.

Tengku Mahkota of Pahang Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, who is also the State Islamic Religion and Malay Customs Council (Muip) president, said a ban on Shia teachings had been imposed by Muip some time ago but it was not gazetted.

"Now, we will gazette the fatwa as such teachings will divert the faith of Muslims here from the true teachings of Islam. Muslims in Pahang are followers of the sunnah waljamaah (Sunni) teachings and this has to be safeguarded.

"Gazetting the fatwa will also make it easier for the authorities to carry out enforcement. We do not want teachings which are confusing, especially those involving the faith of Islam," he said after opening a state-level Rakan Muda Ramadan Khatam Quran event on Saturday night.

He claimed the spread of Shia teachings should be curbed as it would have a bad impact on Muslims, as what could be seen in countries with a sizeable number of Shia followers.

"I hope there will be no misunderstanding because of such differences in the country. We should maintain what we practise now and continue to enhance our religious knowledge."

The Kedah state government has recently declared a ban on Shia teachings before Negri Sembilan and Malacca followed suit.

In Yan, Bernama reports that Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom has refuted claims that four public institutions of higher learning in Klang Valley are being used to spread Shia teachings among Malaysian students.

While urging the parties making the allegation to expose the institutions, Jamil Khir also asked them to furnish details so that the authorities could investigate.

"One must have proof to make accusations. But the reports by several local newspapers on the matter did not reveal the names of the four institutions," he said after handing over aid to 500 needy people in the Jerai parliamentary constituency.

Jamil Khir, who is also Jerai member of parliament, said although there was no proof in many cases, the authorities still had to investigate the reports.
