President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Monday congratulated the victory of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Junior National Volleyball Team at the Youth World Championships in Mexico Monday Morning.
After hearing the news of the victory of the young Iranian volleyballers, the president stressed, "The world should believe the Iranian nation."
"The victory of the Iranian young volleyball players brought honor and pride to the Iranian nation," he reiterated.
"These youths are the assets of the Iranian nation who will take us to all zeniths of glory and progress," the president said, adding that today the path is open for progress of the Iranian youth in all fields.
He thanked the coaches and officials of the Iranian volleyball team and stressed that the government will support all athletes at the international arena.
The President further felicitated the great victory of the Iranian volleyballers to the Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei and the Iranian nation.
Meanwhile, President Ahmadinejad sent a message to the Junior National Volleyball Team, congratulating their victory in the Mexico games.
IRI's Junior National Volleyball Team won the title of 2007 Youth World Championships in Mexico on Monday after beating China 3-2.
This is the first time IRI wins the title of the tournaments.
Iran won 25-22, 26-24 and 15-07 the second, third, and fifth sets but was defeated 25-21 and 31-29 the first and fourth sets.
