Dr. Rouhani said on Sunday that Iran attaches importance to its ties with the Latin American states including Cuba and described Tehran-Havana economic relations as important.
He reiterated that Tehran is determined to develop ties with Cuba.
The Cuban official for his part hoped relations between the two would boost during Rouhani's tenure.
Cuban official is currently in the Iranian capital to take part in Rohani's swearing-in ceremony to be held at Majlis this afternoon.
