JOB ANNOUNCEMENT LPC Community Organizers Sought!

ORGANIZING LOCATIONS: Montebello - Pico Rivera; La Mirada – Norwalk - Hawaiian Gardens; Anaheim; Santa Ana; Long Beach.

POSITION: Community Organizer – Oportunidad Project

LPC is seeking energetic full-time community organizers for an outreach program to personally contact and inform Latino families regarding higher education opportunities and options. Organizers will also help increase the number of Latinos/Latinas who vote by mail.

This is a unique opportunity to play an integral role in a dynamic project that launches in Fall of 2011.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Applicants must have earned a college degree from an accredited institution.
• Applicants with strong bi-lingual (English – Spanish) writing skills are strongly encouraged to apply.

METHOD of PAYMENT:

• Independent Community Organizer Agreement
• Consulting fee $3,500 - $4,000 / month
