Tehran’s interim Friday Prayers Leader, Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, has emphasized that Iran’s anti-United States stance will not change in any way, and will not be affected in any way, by the recent nuclear accord reached between Iran and the 5+1 Group in Vienna.

Addressing a huge crowd of Friday prayers worshippers and the faithful in Tehran, Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati emphasized that Iran’s stance vis-à-vis the United States has not changed in any way, even after the nuclear agreement in Vienna, because the Americans have not ended their hostilities towards the Islamic Iran, and the Iranian people.

Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati stressed that Iran will continue to support oppressed nations and people of the world, including the Palestinian and Lebanese nations, and will not take any notice of Western displeasure and warnings in this regard.

Tehran’s interim Friday Prayers Leader went on to thank and praise the Iranian nuclear negotiating team, for all of their efforts, and hoped that their efforts will not go to waste, and that the Vienna agreement will yield positive results in the end.

Commenting further, Ayatollah Jannati said the nuclear issue is “a national issue” in this country; an issue which concerns all the Iranian people, and we mustn’t treat this issue as a partisan political issue.

He added: “All of us need to do whatever we can to ensure that the nuclear issue is brought to a successful conclusion”.

In further remarks, Tehran’s interim Friday Prayers Leader pointed to the soon-to-be-held parliamentary elections and assembly of experts elections in Iran, and called on government officials and senior officials to do much more to solve the day-to-day problems of ordinary people, alleviating the economic hardships of ordinary Iranians.

Ayatollah Jannati said: “We must redouble our efforts to address the economic concerns of ordinary people”.

Tehran’s interim Friday Prayers Leader went on to refer to the sixth Ahl-Ul-Beit (Peace be upon them) World Assembly, which will convene tomorrow, Saturday, in Tehran , the Iranian capital, attended by 700 top religious scholars, academics and intellectuals from 130 countries.
