Iranians demonstrators marking the 32nd anniversary of the 1979 US Embassy takeover condemn US state terrorism and call for the prosecution of American officials.
According to Press TV, the communiqué issued by demonstrators on Friday said that the recent assassination threats against Iranian officials at a US congressional hearing are a “blatant example of state terrorism and the desperation of the White House.”
On October 26, during a hearing of the Homeland Security Committee of the US House of Representatives, a number of lawmakers urged covert operations against Iran or even to "kill" some Iranian authorities over an alleged Iran-backed plot to kill the Saudi envoy to Washington.
Demonstrators cited the production of nuclear arms and Weapons of Mass Destruction, the exertion of political pressure and the imposition of economic sanctions, as well as guiding and promoting terrorism and assassinations in Iran and the region as examples of US crimes.
The communiqué said the Iranian nation congratulates and fully supports Tunisians, Egyptians, and Libyans for ridding themselves of US- and Israeli-backed dictators, and urges revolutionaries to be vigilant in the face of the attempts made by the arrogant to divert and influence these uprisings, Fars News Agency reported.
Demonstrators also highlighted the importance of Palestinian resistance until the complete liberation of all Israeli-occupied lands, adding that holding free and fair elections is the only solution to the issue of Palestine.
