Today Mr. Mohammd-Hassan Ghadiri-Abyaneh, principalist political analyst and former Iranian ambassador in Mexico and Australia, told Yomiuri:

· Presence of America in the region in general and in Iraq as a case will increase wave of anti-Americanism in the Islamic world and all around the world. So I believe that withdrawal of American forces from Iraq is both to the benefit of America and also Iraqi people. I believe that withdrawal of American forces from Iraq will not influence Iran – Iraq relations, because the friendship relations between Iran and Iraq is derived from neighbourhood, and cultural and religious commonalties between the two nations and even emergence of Saddam Hossein and 8-years imposed war and then occupation of Iraq by America didn’t affect the brotherhood between the two nations.

· So I believe that presence or withdrawal of American forces cannot influence the relations between the two Iranian and Iraqi nations. But withdrawal of American forces from Iraq shows victory of anti-Americanism in the Islamic world and even in America and also it shows spiritual influence of Iran in the Islamic world. Now Iran has become a pattern for the Muslim nations. Iran’s revolution and its progresses in different fields is a matter of proud for the Muslim nation all around the world.

· I basically believe that change of regime and removal of Mubarak in Egypt was a big defeat for America and the Zionist regime. Of course America and Israel will be angry from restoring diplomatic relationship between Iran and Egypt, but the biggest problem and source of problem was the regime change and the awakening in Egypt and the Arab world. You know that America expended more than 200 million dollars during the recent election in Egypt in order to stop Islamists, but failed. America and the Zionist regime have no way to accept will of people and respect right of nations and independence of the other countries. I believe that restoring diplomatic relations between Iran and Egypt – which will surely take place in the near future – will be matter of discomfort for the Zionist regime and US, but they will not be able to harm the relations between Iran and Egypt.

· The Shiites of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia are looking for their rights as citizens of these countries. Their struggle is to attain their fundamental rights. So the accusation that Iran supports the Shiites in these two countries or they have connection with Iran is just a pretext to suppress this movement. So while Iran supports the recent freedom-seeking movement in the Arab world, spiritually supports these people also, but there is no connection between withdrawal of American forces from Iraq and Iran’s helps to these Shiites. Of course it is possible that following withdrawal of American forces, the Shiites opposition movement in these countries would be encouraged to increase their movement more powerfully, but Iran is not interfering in the domestic affairs of these countries. I even believe that rather presence of Americans in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain is agitating the people in these countries against their rulers and against America. Presence of non-Muslims and enemies of Islam in the Islamic countries is source of problem in the Arab countries.

· I believe that withdrawal of American forces from Iraq has nothing to do with the developments in Syria, because Iraqis will not permit America to use Iraqi soil to attack Syria. Of course Americans try to topple Assad regime, but their effort is not organized from Iraq.
